A Case of Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia

Abstract
Glanzmann's thrombasthenia is a rare congenital bleeding disorder characterized by a platelet dysfunction due to deficiency or abnormality of platelet membrane glycoprotein ((b/IIIa.
We have experienced a 7 month-old boy with glanzmann's thrombasthenia who presented with prolonge bleedings from various sites.
Diagnosis was made based on normal platelet count, normal coagulation tests, prolonged bleeding time, and abnormal platelet aggregation tests. He was treated with transfusions of fresh plasma or platelet concentrate.
A brief review of the related literatures was made.
